Uttara Bhadrapada Nakshatra, "The Warrior Star," is the twenty-fifth star of the 27 nakshatras. When the Moon is between 333°20′ to 346°40′ Pisces, the constellation is called UttaraBhadra or Uttara Bhadrapada. Astronomically, this constellation is of two stars - Gamma Pegasi and Alpha Andromedae, from two different constellations called Pegasus and Andromeda.

The ruling deity of this nakshatra is Ahir Bhudhanya, Lord of the deep seas, God of fertility, and Kundalini energy. He is also referred to as Water Serpent or Water dragon who bestows mastery over Kundalini Shakthi and procreative energy.
