Hariyali Teej
Hariyali Teej is observed on the Shukla Paksha Tritiya tithi of Shravana month. This festival is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. Hariyali Teej is also known as Sindhura Teej, Chhoti Teej and Shravana Teej.

Legend
Goddess and Princess Sati, was in deep love and devotion towards Lord Shiva and wanted to marry Him. Her father Dhaksha was against it. He was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu and decided to marry off Sati to Lord Vishnu. Sati escaped into a dense forest on knowing this. She performed a severe penance to marry Lord Shiva, pleased by her sincere penance Lord appeared in front of Sati and married her. The day of Lord Shiva and Sati's wedding ceremony is celebrated as Hariyali Teej. The power of the celestial couple can eliminate financial hiccups and blocks.
Rituals
Women of the household observe strict fast on this day. On the day of the vrat, devotees wake up early preferably before sunrise, take a holy shower, cleans the pooja altar, set up a dais for Idol Lord Shiva and Parvathi. During the worship, offer, flowers, incense, and decorate the pooja idols. Perform pooja, chant slokas with full heart. After pooja, neivedhyam or offerings are placed in the Arati and offered as Prasad to the family and friends. Married Couples visit the Shiva Parvathi temple as a couple and get blessings from the deity. This festival celebrates the nuptial bond and conjugal bliss. The married woman's family gifts or sends Sindhoor/Kumkum to the daughter and the in-laws family. Henna or mehendi is also an important event of this celebration.
Women celebrating Hariyali Teej signify their love and devotion towards their partner and their families. It is celebrated across North India. People also celebrate other beloved divine couple, Lord Krishna and Radhe on this day. The oneness or the unison of the divine couple and their love energy is to be imbibed on this special day. This is the first level of oneness to be achieved towards spiritual universal oneness.
